About our advertising
Below, we – Media Impact GmbH & Co. KG – would like to provide you with comprehensive information on usage-based advertising. The website or app from which you just followed this link is marketed by Media Impact GmbH & Co. KG, Zimmerstrasse 50, 10888 Berlin, Tel: +49 30 2591 0 (‘we’ or ‘us’).
1. Data controller
Unless indicated otherwise, we are the controller, within the meaning of Article 4 No. 7 GDPR, with respect to the processing of personal data in relation to the display of behavioural advertising. In this respect, we also use the services of the third parties specified below, who have been obligated under data protection law (Article 28 GDPR). We remain the controller in these cases.
We also work together with other third-party providers, who are controllers in their own right within the meaning of Article 4 No. 7 GDPR for the processing of personal data. A list of these third-party providers can be found here.
A list of third-party providers used on www.finanzen.net can be found here.
2. Cookies and comparable technologies
To ensure the security of the website or app we market, to prevent fraud, to rectify errors and to technically provide requested content on the website, the use of certain cookies and similar technologies is necessary (special categories). Further information on these special categories of cookies can be found in the privacy section of the website or app we market.
Subject to your consent, we and our partners also use cookies or similar technologies for the purposes of displaying behavioural advertising. Among other things, these are used to establish whether a website has already been visited by your browser. Many cookies contain what is known as a ‘cookie ID’. A cookie ID is a unique cookie identifier. It consists of a string of characters by means of which websites and servers can associate the specific web browser where the cookie has been stored. This enables visited websites and servers to differentiate between the specific browser and other web browsers containing different cookies. A specific web browser can be recognised using the unique cookie ID.
Further information on the cookies or comparable technologies used can be found in the privacy section of the website or app we market. From there, you can also configure the appropriate settings to withdraw consent you have already given or to disable individual cookies or comparable technologies. Previously set cookies can also be deleted at any time using your web browser or another software solution. This is possible in all standard web browsers. If you disable cookies, it might not be possible to fully use all the functions of the website we market.
When using apps, technology with a function comparable to cookies is used in their place. Where you have permitted this, an advertising ID, which the manufacturer of your device’s operating system makes available for such purposes (‘Identifier for Advertising’ (IDFA) for iOS devices or ‘Google Advertising ID’ for Android devices), may be processed in this respect. The Advertising ID is not related to the app, but is associated with your device as an ID. Using these Advertising IDs, advertising content can be delivered in accordance with your use of the apps (known as ‘behavioural advertising’). In this way, the aim is to display advertising that is more interesting and more relevant to users, than would be possible without the analysis of corresponding usage data.
3. Processing of personal data
By means of cookies or comparable technologies, information about your activities on the websites or apps we market is collected (e.g. online activity, website subpages visited, advertising banners clicked, etc.) All usage data is processed using a pseudonym, ruling out personal identification. Where applicable and subject to your consent, this data is used in connection with anonymous data from online surveys. In this respect, your computer’s IP address, which is transmitted for technical reasons, is anonymised completely by an independent third party and is not used for the controlled display of advertising.
Your data is processed, among other things, so as to be able to display advertising that matches your predicted interests, to inform you about interest-related products, news and quality features, to prevent repeated display of adverts (Frequency Capping) and to continually improve our products and services.
Further information and the respective legal basis for data processing can be found in the privacy policy or the privacy settings section of the website or app we market. By making appropriate privacy settings in the website or app we market, you can also withdraw consent that you have previously given or object to data processing at any time.
